Dragging the trailer around was fun, my gas was free, and the project is rapidly nearing completion.

Loaded the trailer by hand, to take the charred wood to site. We don’t have a forklift.

Kinja'd!!!

Dropping off steel at the galvanizer.

Kinja'd!!!

Threaded pipes coming to the shop.

Kinja'd!!!

Unloading charred boards with the telehandler.

Kinja'd!!!

Not a truck, but the concrete forms are finally up.

Kinja'd!!!

Everything is either on site or at the galvanizer, time for final assembly!

TRUUUUCK

It feels so awesome using a heavy duty truck for its intended purpose.

Yes! Even with a load that weighed more than the truck, it didn’t really care. Although the 5.4 wasn’t a huge fan of hills.

Now see what it can do in flood water.

No thanks, however our site is pretty muddy, I had to use 4x4 to pull the trailer out after unloading.

Oh snap, that is a 5.4 isnt it! Damn.

For what its worth, I used to “chauffeur” work crews in fully loaded LWB crew cab F350 work trucks with the 6.0 powerstroke.

One time, I distinctly remember getting sent back from a worksite with a 5,000 lb scissor lift on a trailer, the truck was strapped down with 3-4 layers of metal scaffolding on the overhead rack and at the same time the toolboxes were quite full of tools (like normal).

I don’t think the trailer had working trailer brakes. I couldn’t accelerate past 60-ish AND I had to use two foot braking with my entire body weight. LOL... never again.

Luckily I had a good set of trailer brakes, that trailer+wood was ~9,000-10,000 lbs.

Oh, I’m sorry. I was under the impression that you were in control of a large diesel truck with four wheel drive and off-road tires while doing “truck stuff”.

“TRUCK STUFF”.

I’m in control of a large GAS POWERED truck, with four wheel drive, that I try to take care of.

So I can do more truck stuff in the future.

It can get muddy and continue to work.

Just a little bit of mudding. You can do it. The truck is designed for it.

It's okay.

Are you just moving stuff around, or are you working on actually building something? What will the thing be when it’s done?

Actually building something. Here’s a link to a couple renderings:

Is K-State one of the Big XII schools that allows fun?

Apparently not. Texas allies PC fun, TCU is where the Repubs get down, ou is full of snotty oklahomans that don't realize their state sucks, OSU knows their state sucks, so they drink a lot, Baylor has a Baptist problem, Texas Tech is in a dry county, Iowa State has corn, WVU has coal, Kansas has... Well, I don't know what Kansas has, maybe tornados and Ruby slippers, so they're probably high all the time.
